WDM acquisition equipment
Transponders, muxponders 1/2/4/8/10/16/32/40/100G

Transponders: Transponders convert a short-range optical signal into an electrical signal using 3R processing (Re-amplification, Re-shaping, and Re-timing) and convert the signal back into a DWDM optical signal for long-distance transmission. Transponders aggregate client services before DWDM multiplexing and transport.

Muxponders: Muxponders allow short-range links to be multiplexed onto a single DWDM output channel. Transponders and muxponders are the dividing line between customer service aggregation and the DWDM optical transport infrastructure.

The offered platforms support Ethernet 1/10/40/100G, Fiber Channel 2/4/8/16G, ATM OC3/12/48/192, EPON/GPON, CPRI client speeds.
The OTNS8600 platforms allow the integration of up to 96 channels with such client throughputs.
The main advantage is to be able to uniformly manage the transmission of DWDM channels at the DWDM infrastructure level rather than in the switches and to allow fine-grained administration of each DWDM service or channel.

The interest is also to be able to build an optical infrastructure transparently compared to manufacturers by using generic transceivers on the DWDM side and inexpensive short-range transceivers on the switch side.

ProVision offers you complete standalone 1U solutions or 1U, 2U or 5U chassis up to 16 slots with capacities up to 700G and a very affordable cost per port.
