The OLP module is an optical line protection device. Its main function is to perform real-time monitoring of the status of optical signals in the primary and backup paths. In the event that the primary link is blocked or degraded in performance, an OLP system can implement secure and automatic switching between the primary and backup paths, so as to ensure instant data recovery by rerouting the optical signals.
Optical physical layer protection has incomparable advantages for better protection of upper layer services, and it is the best solution to provide the user with uninterrupted service.

Optical Bypass Protection
OBP is an optical bypass protection system. OBP realizes intelligent optical path switching at the physical layer and is applicable to the pure optical network environment. OBP can automatically identify the power supply status and optical signal output status of network nodes. When the local optical equipment encounters a malfunction (including power supply failure, hardware or software failure, etc.), it instantly switches to the bypass optical path. In this way, the communication line will bypass the local devices (i.e., the fault point), thus avoiding any blocking obstacle due to the malfunctioning node, so as to ensure connection continuity.
