Active equipment: OLT, ONU, ONT

PON products provide high-speed voice, data, and video services to residential and business subscribers. The optical line terminal (OLT) and optical network units (ONU) are the basic elements of the high-speed FTTX architecture, an alternative or complement to traditional XDSL access. GPON/GEPON solutions combine the simplicity of Ethernet with the robustness of passive components, reducing operating costs for service providers. The GPON/GEPON platform is an extremely cost-effective alternative to conventional access equipment, reducing points of failure and maintenance expenses and effectively simplifying the network architecture. The cost of optical fiber and its deployment fees have also been significantly reduced recently, making the service much more economical, both from the subscriber's and the FTTx operator's perspective. GPON/GEPON equipment in particular supports many applications and services, including VoIP, business-centric services, Triple Play services, and RF overlay, among others. PON is the latest generation of access network technology. IEEE802.3ah is the standard protocol for EPON. ITU-T G.984 is the standard protocol for GPON. PON offers efficient user traffic conditioning, with frame segmentation enabling better Quality of Service (QOS) for latency-sensitive voice and video communications traffic. GPON/EPON enables Fiber To The Home (FTTH) deployments in a cost-effective manner, leading to accelerated growth worldwide. The OLT equipment installed in the Telecom Center is the heart of the PON system. It provides high-speed uplink interfaces for accessing information such as voice, data, and PON interfaces for passive optical distribution networks. The OLT is also the control center of the PON system, through which the network management system can perform operations for the management and maintenance of the PON system. GPON OLT provides 2.5G high-speed fiber access, compliant with ITU-TG.984.x and FSAN. It is very easy to deploy. The ONU on the user side provides an interface for services such as data, internet video, CATV and VOIP networks, and Wi-Fi.
